Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

We use several packages to provide website analytics data. These include Google Analytics, Jetpack and Monster Insights plugins for WordPress. Links to the privacy policies for each plugin are available here:

Google Analytics –

Google Analytics operates a data retention policy. Currently, for this website, the user-level and event-level data associated with cookies, user identifiers, or advertising identifiers are retained for 26 months before being deleted monthly. Other aggregate data (from which it is not possible to personally identify individual users) is retained indefinitely.

Who we share your data with

From time to time, I may require the services of a web developer to upgrade or change technical aspects of this website. If so, I may disclose your personal data information only to the chosen contractor/s and affiliated organisations that (I) need to know that information in order to process it on my behalf or to provide services available at my website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.

Some of those contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Kookachoo Interiors website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them subject to the requirements of the law.

I use WordPress plugins and software including Mailchimp to manage communications with persons who subscribe to this website. MailChimp stores this information on its servers. I have a comprehensive Data Processing Agreement in place with MailChimp which guarantees adequate data protection standards are applied to subscriber data.

Kookachoo Interiors will not rent or sell personal data to anyone. Other than to its chosen contractor/s and affiliated organisations, as described above, Kookachoo Interiors, discloses personal data only in response to a court order, subpoena or other governmental request, or when Kookachoo Interiors , mostly believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Kookachoo Interiors , third parties or the public at large. If you are a subscriber to this website and have supplied your email address, I may send you an email to tell you about new information or products. My email list is relatively low volume and I will not be sending you spam or flooding your inbox with irrelevant information.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Contact form entries for six months, analytics records for a year, and customer purchase records for ten years.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data
